Affiliate Voices #3 – Nick Chertock

by admin on 03/22/2011

Affiliate Voices Podcast is rolling with it’s third episode. This week we interviewed a podcast and affiliate marketing enthusiast, Nick Chertock. He’s no super affiliate, he’s no newbie but he has a voice and we gave him a platform! It was a pleasure talking with Nick and even though he’s not raking in the commissions like full-time affiliate marketers, he has a strategy and he’s happy with it.

Nick is an accountant by day and an avid golfer so his affiliate niche is in the golf industry right now. His main site where he’s creating unique content is GolfProgress.net. He’s building his community through social networking and plans on adding more affiliate links and products as he goes. Follow Nick on Twitter and watch his progress as an affiliate over the next few years.

We also discussed the launch of the affiliate management ebook, written by Greg. It’s called Affiliate Management for Ma, Pa and the Corporate Clueless. Know any clueless merchants that need help? Send them to the book.

Affiliate Voices is sponsored by Greg Hoffman Consulting. Follow Greg and Cindy on Twitter. Please let us know if you have any questions about the programs we manage.

Thanks Greg and Cindy-I enjoyed being interviewed, now I just need to learn to speed it up by about 80%!

Keep doing what you are doing, Nick. Thank you.

As long as you're speaking in your normal tone of voice in your normal pace, you're going to sound natural – and that's the most important thing when being interviewed, in my opinion. Don't speed it up if that's not 'you'!

Nike says Just Do It!

(your friend & colleague Dr Geek)I think that's a fantastic point, Nick, and it's so impressive you're aware of it. "Paralysis by Perfectionism" can really prevent us from taking the plunge – and yet massive companies like Apple & Microsoft put out "versions" 1.0, 1.1, 1.2,2.0,2.1…you get the idea. As you know I've recently launched my own website & blog (and will be looking at affiliate marketing) and really had to fight "perfection procrastination" to get launched.

I use a modification of Nike's "Just Do It!", which I shan't tell in full herefor reasons whichshould become obvious.

I usually refer to it by its initials: JFDI.

It's a useful mantra & no mistake!
Keep on JFDoingIt!
